After the inauguration of the National Guard facilities, Mayor Armando Ayala Robles gave the President of Mexico Andrés Manuel López Obrador a document with requests regarding infrastructure, health, and well-being.
The petition document lists the completion of the Transpeninsular highway in what is known as the “Death section”(Tramo de Muerte), through which more than 40 thousand vehicle units travel daily with great risk of accidents due to the lack of lanes and retaining walls.
The mayor requested the Construction of the IMSS Regional General Hospital, with capacity for 216 beds, to be contemplated in the Federation Expenditure Budget 2022 (PEF 2022). He recalled that this clinic would benefit the bulk of the population in terms of health, given the current underlying lag in the shortage of hospital beds in IMSS clinics in the region.
“We also request that our municipality be considered once again in the Urban Improvement Program 2022 in order to continue generating schemes to combat social backwardness and for the sake of the beautification of our city,” he specified. Ask for fishing permits
He added that he was also requested that in the 2022 Federation Expenditure Budget, the alternative route Tijuana-Ensenada Bypass highway kilometer 93 Scenic be included, to have an alternative, safe and fluid communication route between both municipalities that promotes investment and economic detonation in the federative entity.
“Being a municipality with a fishing vocation, we ask President López Obrador for his intervention to grant permits for the families of bluefin tuna hook fishermen in Ensenada through Conapesca,” he added. The mayor specified that this issue is essential, since derived from the increase in the catch quota of bluefin tuna to Mexican vessels in the Pacific, reflecting an increase of 232 additional tons by the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission (CIAT), it is requested to consider the issuance and granting of permits for the more than 45 families of hook fishermen in small boats that have not received a response from Conapesca.
In sports, Armando Ayala requested support for the construction of a baseball stadium in the city, as it is one of the disciplines that are most practiced in Ensenada.
