8 Beer Halls in Ensenada


Ensenada is not just about wine. And although everyone points to Tijuana when talking about the craft beer movement in Baja, Ensenada is definitely no exception. Because there is no better combination in Mexico than seafood and a good “average”.

San Diego Red presents eight of the best places to try the local beer and in these last days of summer vacations we leave the Hussongs and the Papas & Beer for the true tourists.

1.- Doble C Brewery

What beers do they have? Definitely the ones in the house. IPAS, Porters, Saisons and Blondes. In addition to each other.

When do they open? Wednesdays to Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. to 10 p.m.

They have food? They have guest food trucks

2.- Cuatro Veintes – Beer Garden Sauzal

What beers do they have? IPA, Dry Stout, Amber Ale, Honey Wheat. In addition to Cervecería Cuatro Casas and Eaton.

When do they open? Monday to Tuesday from three in the afternoon to eleven at night. Resting on Wednesdays and returning on Thursday for Sunday with the same schedule.

They have food? Nachos, burgers, potatoes, toast and wings

3.- Baja Brew Collective and Brewery Garden

What beers do they have? From Tijuana, Ensenada and Mexicali. Breweries like Old Mission, Parallel 28, Origins, Fauna, Urban, Insurgent …

When do they open? Your Facebook says they are open from Wednesday to Sunday from 1:00 pm until past midnight.

They have food? The place, for those who like the potato slices.

4.- Wendlandt Brewery

What beers do they have? All of the house, from the Marina Vaquita to the famous Talking Seal. And other locales.

When do they open? From Tuesday to Saturday, 6:00 pm to 12:00 am, you can check your schedule on your Facebook .

They have food? You can not leave without trying your fries.

5.- Troika

You enter a dirt road heading to Rancho San Marcos Toros Pintos s / n, Valle de GuadalupeWhat beers do they have? Although it is a food truck, here it is worth trying a Wendlandts in the middle of the Guadalupe Valley on one side.

When do they open? Usually from 1:00 pm to 8:00 p.m., your Facebook always confirms on which times and days are closed

They have food? Toasts, burgers, potatoes, suckling pig. Lots of food.

6.- Agua Mala Brewery

What beers do they have? Siren Pilsner, Mantis Wit, Mako Pale Ale, Mantarraya Oatmeal Stout and a Mezcal just in case.

When do they open? Open Thursdays through Sundays from 2:00 pm to 12:00 am, Sundays close earlier, you can check if they are open on your official Facebook page

They have food? Oysters, ceviche, smoked fish and the classic snacks of pretzels, chips and popcorn.

7.- Cervecería Costa Azul

What beers do they have? Sierra de Juárez Pale Ale, Pino Colorado Red Ale, Giant Blueberry Stout, Cabrillo American Ale. More other Kenyan beers.

When do they open? Friday to Sunday from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm

They have food? Yas

8.- Tap Room – Canneria

What beers do they have? International, local and home: Firefighter, Multiorgasmic Fuffylicious, Grandma’s breakfast, Lic’s IPA or Xplosive Cherry.

When do they open? Monday to Sunday from one in the afternoon to midnight

They have food? No, here no.
