Ensenada Cruiseport Facelift

enscruiseportdigBajadock: We have reported on Ensenada’s malecon development.  The surprise was from our Senior Cruiseport Correspondent with this photo yesterday/Thursday.  The big vacant field is getting ready for something.  Anyone have the news on this plan?  Maybe it’s extra parking for all of the visitors to the Snail Museum? See last line of following article in bold.

For the general manager of International Cruise Port Village , Javier Rodríguez, Ensenada has shown progress in the last year, from urban improvements in the federal area administered by the API, the start of operations in April the first stage of Caracol Museum, and the rehabilitation of the tourist area and the entry of new operators tours.

“There is an important synergy where everyone is doing its part to bring up to us and the cruise line. We have to convince them to come, but only we did with competitive advantages that are reflected in earnings of shipping, “agreed the manager.

The simple reasoning of entrepreneurs is that if a few years ago worked with 150 arrivals per year and now have 100 more, have chosen to provide discounts of up to 50% on shipping companies each year to increase the number of visits.

“The big challenge for 2015 is to convince me to stay and keep working, we are meeting their requirements,” he explained.

Facilities Cruise Terminal follow an international code, so that the rules for entering and exiting the enclosure are extremely strict. Few have access. Rodriguez spoke about a commercial project that will begin in the coming months, where anyone can learn some of the facilities. The project is designed to be installed in front of the unloading area.

Thank you for your comment. After meeting with my team of editors, we stand by our translation of Museo de Caracol = Snail Museum. We always hyperlink to original articles and authors for proper attribution. The plex.mx article we linked includes analysis of the waste, fraud and abuse of government funds in the past decade attempting to open the doors of the Snail Museum. Cheers.
