Approximately one hour south of the U.S. border lies a premier resort unlike any other, Bajamar.

The development, which is owned by Mega-Tourism, is located at kilometer 77.5 on the scenic Tijuana-Ensenada road that parallels the Pacific Coast, along what is referred to as the “Tourism Corridor.”

As a full-service resort development, Bajamar offers first-class services and accommodations. These qualities make it an ideal location for residents and visitors alike to experience resort living in a safe and relaxed environment.

The Bajamar development and its future expansion are encompassed in a master plan that includes a hotel, residential areas and lots, condominium components and 554 acres of commercial space. It is bordered by about 3 miles of spectacular coastline framed by low cliffs and gentle slopes, including flat areas. It is up to approximately 600 feet above sea level, resulting in superb views of the sea and cliffs.

Mission Coronado is the newest housing project in the development. It features several models of new-construction houses with two and three bedrooms. These residences are detailed with fine marble and granite, have air conditioning and heating, and, of course, have the added advantage of being located within a gated resort development.

Among Bajamar’s amenities is one of Baja’s top championship golf courses, consisting of 27 holes with greens that have views of the Pacific Ocean, fairways set on hills, lakes and traps and ravines that test golfers’ skills and abilities while offering magnificent vistas for pros and amateurs alike.

The course has three distinct and landscaped sets of nine holes: Vista, Lagos and Ocean. Vista and Lagos were designed by Percy Clifford in 1976 and redesigned in 1991 by David Fleming; Ocean was designed by Robert Von Hagge in 1996.

There is also the 81-room Hotel Hacienda Bajamar. The Colonial-designed hotel comes complete with a courtyard that is often used for weddings or events.

Adjacent to the hotel is the clubhouse with a casual bar and fine dining restaurant, Dos Lagos, where meals range from casual Mexican fare to filet mignon and lobster. The Las Trampas bar often features music and is considered by golfers to be the “10th hole” at Bajamar. Towering over the clubhouse is the Mirador, an amazing restaurant/bar with a 180-degree view of the entire development.

Other Bajamar amenities include a kid’s club, mini golf, beach volleyball, a soccer area, hiking and biking areas and tennis courts.

Bajamar, renowned as a wedding destination, is also perfect for any type of social event, convention or meeting.

With an unbeatable location, a program of sustainable development and a staff that prides itself on courteous customer service, Bajamar is a signature resort development for Northwest Mexico: a perfect place to live, play or stay.

Bajamar is approximately an hour from the U.S. border, 75 minutes from San Diego International Airport and roughly 45 minutes from Tijuana International Airport. Additionally, Bajamar is about 20 minutes north of the city of Ensenada, and Mexico’s famous wine country, Valle de Guadalupe.
